I wouldn t go out of my way to recommend a dol reissue unless you re collecting on a seriously tight budget in which case there are certainly worse options in the case of most classic albums but they re certainly better than their patchy reputation would suggest.

I get why they do it they re a lot cheaper than most actual high quality analogue cut reissues although there are some good quality value albums out there via verve stateside amongst others they help get people into some.

Dol s pressings are always clean and the sleeves are decent quality as well.
A quality reissue can offer a great alternative to owning a scratchy original or spending big money on something scarce.
I would avoid them along with other public domain labels i e wax time jazz time jazz wax not now doxxy etc if you want good sound and art quality out of them.
It s a nice and heavy 180g record and the label and spindle hole were also top notch.
Dol is a gray market label.
